Living White

Why White?

If you google a phrase “living green”, you’ll get about 1,560,000 results. Much as I love the concept, I beg to differ. Green is a nice colour, but it’s way too omnipresent and it makes me think, oh wait a minute i know what you’re gonna be talking about, pleeeease, not again!

So much for what this blog is NOT about, now let’s look at why it’s here in the first place.

I decided to go on air because most of my peak experiences in life are invoked by petty little things I encounter on a daily basis, and regretfully, more often than not I enjoy them in private. And I bet it’s a lot more fun enjoying them in the company of people whose greatest moments in life come from a similar source.

Why white instead of green?

White is my favourite colour. Partly because it’s all other colours blended in one in an invisible dance. Mostly because it represents a number of things that are important to me, like death, purity, calm, dignity, awareness, freedom, non-violence and new beginnings. Unlike green, which has a very definite connotation of environmental awareness and is in a way limited by it, white could symbolize a more diverse lifestyle pattern which suggests, yet goes beyond eco-friendly choices.  Since my own preferences tend to fluctuate at a supersonic speed, I can only guess how this blog will evolve in the next few months; nevertheless, one thing I’m sure of is that my choices will sustain their original colour.
